A mass killing field of 1971 has been identified in the Talaimari area of Rajshahi city.
A discussion meeting was held on Sunday at 11pm in this regard.
Freedom fighter Ruhul Amin Pramanik addressed the meeting as chief guest while freedom fighter Dr Abdul Mannan chaired it.
The former city mayor freedom fighter Abdul Hadi discovered the killing field. It has been named 'Badurtola mass killing ground 71'.
During the War of Liberation, the Pakistani forces killed many people in this field, speakers in the meeting said.
In the meeting, Secretary General of National Freedom Fighters Coordination Committee Sharif Uddin, ward no. 25 councilor Tariqul Islam Paltu and freedom fighters, martyr families, children of freedom fighters were also present.
