1.50 lakh Yaba pills seized in Cox's Bazar

Some 1.50 lakh pieces of yaba tablets worth around Tk 7.50 crore was recovered from a fishing boat in Saint Martin Island's Bangla Channel area in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar district early Monday.

On information, a patrol team of Bangladesh Coast Guard East Zone conducted a drive in the area around 2:30am, and recovered the yaba pills left abandoned by smugglers.

The Coast Guard officials could not detain any smugglers during the drive, said sources in Chittagong East Zone of Coast Guard.
