The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained a member of a fake question paper leakage syndicate from Rautha village under Charghat upazila of Rajshahi on Sunday night.
The detainee was identified as Roni Sarker, 20, a resident of the same village.
Major Ashraful Islam, Deputy Director of RAB-5, said Roni was arrested on charges of collecting money through developing fake question papers of HSC examinations, and selling those using social media.
During the detention, RAB confiscated three mobile phones, 14 SIM cards, one memory card, two card readers, one CPU, one monitor, and Tk 10,000 in cash.
After the interrogation, Roni was handed over to Charghat Police in the morning.
A case was filed against the detainee, Major Ashraful Islam added.
