Robbers loot cash Tk 13 lakh from maize purchasing center

Robbers looted cash Tk 13 lakh from a maize purchasing center in Meherpur district town on Friday night.

They also beat up three workers.   

CP Bangladesh maize purchasing center director Sajjad Hossain Polash said a gang of masked robbers numbering 10-12 attacked the centre around 11pm.

They took Tk 13 lakh from cash counter of the office breaking drawer kept all office staff at gunpoint. They also took away some mobile phones.

The robbers beat up three workers as they tried to resist the robbers.

Being informed, a team of police visited the spot.

Additional superintendent of Meherpur police confirmed the news.
