Anti-drug meeting held in Natore

With a view to create public awareness against drug abuse and smuggling, a big anti-drug rally was held at Kanaikhali playground in Natore town on Wednesday.

Md. Jamal Uddin Ahmed, Director General of the Narcotic Control Directorate, attended the meeting as chief guest.

In the meeting, the speakers said we have to root out drug from the society because it destroys human life and hampers happiness and prosperity of a family badly. Thus, they are resisting the progress and development of our country.

They further said, only law is not enough to resist drug. For this, we need united efforts of responsible and conscious people of the society so that it can be removed rapidly.

Natore deputy commissioner Shahina Khatun, presided over the meeting.

Police Superintendent Biplob Bijoy Talukder, N.S. Govt. College Principal Professor Md. Shamsuzzoha, District Education Officer Ramzan Ali Akanda, Sadar upazila Chairman Shariful Islam Ramzan and Rajshahi Division Narcotic Control Directorate’s Assistant Director Md Zafarullah Kajal, among others, spoke in the meeting.

Natore District Narcotic Control Department Assistant Director Md. Anisur Rahaman Khan conducted the function.
