Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Rajshahi district and city units formed separate human chains, demanding release of BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia on Wednesday.
District BNP organized the programme in the Bheripara of the city. Rajshahi District BNP president Advocate Tofazzal Hossain Topu presided over the human chain where BNP central committee member and Rajshahi district BNP General Secretary Advocate Matiur Rahman Montu, district BNP vice-president Prof Nazrul Mondol, vice president Jahangir Alam, Shamimul Islam Moon, Alauddin Aalo, Metropolitan BNP joint secretary Mamunur Rashid Mamun, DM Ziaur Rahman Zia were present.
On the other hand, Rajshahi city unit BNP organized the human chain at around 11am on Wednesday in front of the BNP’s Malopara party office. Rajshahi city mayor and city BNP president Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul and general secretary Shafiqul Haque Milon spoke in the human chain arranged by the metropolitan BNP.
