Opportunity

Published : Saturday, 19 May, 2018 at 12:00 AM  Count : 998
Once there lived a child who wondered and dreamed
A child of greatness, or so it seemed
The child was supposed to have a life, prefect and well made
Parents, friends, a sibling or so they said,
The child had a secret that no one knew
His parents were never there and there was only so much a sibling could do,
So the child grew, he wondered, he dreamed,
Nothing could crush his greatness, or so it seemed,
In the end, he made the most of what he could get,
It wasn't his fault the world chose to forget.

She was born curious,
They called her delirious,
She made up stories of places nonexistent,
But to share these stories, she was hesitant,
She tried to tell them the stories she could tell,
But they told her those stories would never sell,
She got an average job, an average man, an average life,
And her stories were cut down with the sharpest knife.

Prodigy, they called him, and he decided to believe,
That he could do anything no matter what boulder the world tried to heave,
"A businessman," his parents said,
Teachers yelled, "He's got a good head,"
Support and comfort surrounded this kid,
What the other two couldn't do, with ease he did,
The world gave him a platform,
On which he could grow on,
So while two other geniuses lived and died,
This one ordinary kid left a legacy behind,
Not because he was more smart or more kind,
And he worked just as much as the others who got left behind,
No, he was successful because fate or destiny,
Simply gave him something so many don't get - opportunity.

Father, Happy Birthday

Forever there, beside me
Always giving,

Trusting, protecting
Heroes can't come close, I now see
Encouraging me every step of the way
Remembering you makes my day.

Hundreds of father, but you're the best,
Amazing, tremendous, better than the rest,
Punctual
Passionate
You have it all.

Because I love you
I miss you

Remember we'll be
Together soon, you and me
Happiness can come and go
Dad, you're amazing, and that's forever, you know
And today is you day, so celebrate
You deserve it because you're great
