Criminals active under cover of film shooting

Aslam Sarkar was a worker of a telephone and photocopy shop in Laxmipur area of Rajshahi. From there, he was introduced to some of artisans. After this, he formed a production house in Rajshahi named 'Sarkar Production House'.

Using this organization name, he built a crime world. Within a few years of immoral activities and drug trading by women, Aslam Sarkar has become millionaires.

Aslam Sarker 40, one of the major culprits of the Rajshahi drug traders gang, was nabbed by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on his way to Cox's Bazar, in possession 1,08,000 yaba tablets.

On Wednesday morning, RAB-7 team arrested him from the Kolatoli area of Cox's Bazar. The market value of Yaba was about five-and-a-half crore taka. The microbus which the RAB seized during the arrest was worth Tk 30 lakh.

Major Ruhul Amin, commander of RAB-7 Cox's Bazar, said that In the name of music video and shooting, Aslam Sarkar has long been travelling to Cox's Bazar. While leaving Cox's Bazar, he carried yaba and supplied it in different areas of north Bengal. Such information was already with the RAB.

A week ago, the shooting team went to Cox's Bazar. Aslam and his microbus driver were among the 10 people in the team. But from the very beginning, the team was under surveillance of RAB. The team was carrying Yaba in a microbus oil tank with polythene, added Major Ruhul Amin.

The owner of Rajshahi's Sarkar Production House and Black Café Aslam Sarkar is a resident of Dingadoba area under Rajpara thana of the city.

He married about six to seven girls at different times. There are also lawsuits by the women with different police stations. Now he has amassed a lot of money doing drugs business and illegal works.
