Army may be deployed in nat’l election, not in city polls

Chief election commissioner KM Nurul Huda said Army may be deployed in next national election, not in the cirt corporation elections.

CEC said this to the journalists after inauguration of a training on EVM at Barishal circuit house hall room Wednesday noon.

A total 60 election officers from Barishal and Faridpur region participated in the training.

The CEC said complaint against voting will be dispelled with the use of EVM at all voting centers.

He said EC hopes that BNP will take part in the next national polls but we have no scope of taking initiative for persuading any political party.

Barishal DC Md Habibur Rahman presided over the program also addressed, among others, by Barisal divisional commissioner Md Sahiduzaman and other traning related high officials.
