Dinesh Chandimal is not a cheater, says his brother

Mumbai, June 22: Kamesh Nirmal, the brother of Sri Lankan skipper is not ready to believe that Dinesh Chandimal could have tampered with the ball in the game of cricket.
The 28-year-old Chandimal is suspended for the 3rd and final Test of the series against West Indies.
Speaking exclusively over his mobile from Colombo, the younger brother, also the cricketer, said, "I cannot believe this (that my brother is involved here). We are very much surprised and disappointed with these allegations".
Chandimal in fact has decided to contest the charges.
"We are yet to speak to him but I can tell you my brother has never applied such tactics before and can never do so.... He is not a cheater", the brother, who like Chandimal, also the student of Ananda College, said.
Interestingly, B. A. Abeyrathna, who was a principal of Ananda College, when Dinesh Chandimal was studying, was also surprised.
"He can never do so...In fact, it was me, who introduced Chandimal to our college and I can't believe he can go out of the way to this extent".
