
A discussion was held in Rajshahi city as a part of the ongoing democratic movement, demanding BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s release and the election under a non-partisan neutral government.
Bangladesh Nationalist Party and its associate organizations of Rajshahi region organized the programme on Saturday morning.
The meeting was presided over by Rajshahi city BNP President and mayor candidate Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul.
Rajshahi city BNP General Secretary Advocate Shafiqul Haque Milon was present as the chief guest, while BNP Chairperson's adviser and former mayor Mizanur Rahman Minu was special guest.
Bulbul said, as part of the movement to free party leader Khaleda Zia, we are participating in the elections of Rajshahi City Corporation on July 30. We will dethrone this illegal government by freeing Begum Khaleda Zia and winning the upcoming national election. In the July 30 elections, any obstruction on BNP will be severely curbed.
Rajshahi Division's assistant organizing secretary Shaheen Shawkat, city BNP office secretary Nazmul Haque Diken, city Jubo Dal president Abul Kalam Azad Sweet, General Secretary Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, District Jubo Dal president Mujadded Jamani Sumon, general secretary Shafiqul Alam, city Jubo Dal Former President Waliul Haque Rana, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal President Asaduzzaman Jony, Editor Rafiqul Islam Rabi and other leaders were presented.
After the meeting, Rajshahi Medical College auditorium on 2 June activists were called upon to join the BNP divisional workshop.
