Two held with counterfeit notes in Natore

Rapid Action Battalion members (RAB) arrested two people in possession of fake currency notes to the tune of Tk 4 lakh 40 thousand from Singra Poura area in Natore on Saturday night.  

The arrested were identified as Samad Ali Mollah, 31, a resident of Sherkole Agpara Mahalla under Singra Upazila and Kisman Ali Sarker, 38, of the same area.

Major Shibli Mostafa, RAB-5 Natore Camp Commander, confirmed the news to the local journalists in a press conference.

He said, on information, a team of RAB-5 Natore Camp conducted a drive in that area on Saturday night when the arrested Samad Ali and Kisman Ali were giving a payment to Kanchan Paul, a paddy trader of that area, with those fake notes.
The RAB members arrested them red hand and seized the counterfeit notes from their possession.

In this connection the paddy trader Kanchan Paul filed a case with Singra Police Station, the commander added.
