Relief distributed among 102 destitute families in Natore

Relief materials have been distributed among 102 destitute families in Singra upazila of Natore.

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak distributed 102 bundle corrugated iron sheets for each of the families and cash Tk 3,0,6000 at a programme on Wednesday.

Palak said that no one will homeless in the country within the year 2021. The government will ensure food and shelter for them.

Some shelter house have been already set up at some union areas of the upazila where a few members of the landless families are living safely, said the minister.

He said, the past government did nothing for landless and flood affected people of the Upazila. They come to the people only at the time of vote. But the present government has done a lot for the suffering people of the country including the people of Chalan Beel area of the Upazila.
He urged all to vote for Sheikh Hasina for the next term. Otherwise the development works of the country will not be able to go ahead.

Among others, Singra municipality mayor Md Zannatul Ferdous, upazila project implementation officer Syed Ariful Haque, chairman of all union parishads, some local political leaders, were present in the programme.
