Seminar on flood and deforestation monitoring @ EU

Md Mafijul Islam Bhuiyan and Dr S N M Azizul Hoque was the joint speaker of the seminar titled 'Development of a Geospatial Intelligent System for Flood and Deforestation Monitoring System over Rural Areas of Bangladesh' on July 12, 2018, says a press release.
The programme was organised and hosted at Eastern University, Bangladesh. Md Mafijul Islam Bhuiyan the CEO of mi2labs worked as a research analyst in MDA Satellite Corporation for one year where he processed and analysed satellite images collected from RADAR SAT-2 satellite. In the talk, Mafijul Islam Bhuiyan shared his works and experiences during his stay at MDA Satellite Corporation located at Richmond in British Columbia, Canada. Both speakers described the recently completed project funded by ICT innovation fund, ICT Division, Bangladesh Government. Moreover, he described how they monitored and predicted flood in Sylhet region during the year 2017.
