As many as 3,840 members of law enforcement agencies were deployed in Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) area ahead of polls, in order to keep the situation normal.
Of them, 950 are police, 450 Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), 450 Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), and 1,990 Ansar members.
The polls in the city corporation is scheduled to held on Monday.
Meanwhile, RAB and BGB started patrolling in the area from Saturday morning, said RAB-5 Deputy Commander Ashraful Islam.
They will have to stay in the field until July 31 to tackle violent situation if occurred, he added.
The voting will be held in 138 centers of the city. The Election Commission has identified 114 centers as risky. Additional security is being taken at those centers.
