UNHCR official’s body found in Cox’s Bazar

Police on Thursday recovered the body of an UNHCR official who went missing two days ago from Moheshkhali upazila of Cox’s Bazar.

Dead Suliman Mulata, an UNHCR protection official, was citizen of Ethiopia.

Fishermen found the body while they were netting in the sea at Sonadia area in the morning, said Afruzul Haque Tutul, additional superintendent of Cox’s Bazar police.

The UNHCR official lived at Meghalay hotel in Kalatali area of the district town. He went missing on 30 July while out to visit Rohingya camp.

The body was sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar hospital for autopsy.
