Matches only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday

The matches of the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League 2018-19 will be played only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a view to attract more spectators in the venues.
The professional league committee of BFF recently took the decision along with some others.
The committee primarily picked six venues to play BPL matches this year. The venues are Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka, MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong, Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh, Gopalganj Stadium, Sheikh Kamal Stadium in Nilphamari and Shaheed Bhulu Stadium in Noakhali.
Earlier, a decision was taken by the BFF to arrange the league in at least five venues. In response to federations' decision, the clubs had submitted names of their desired venues. A total of eight venues were in considerations of the clubs.
Among the BPL contesters this year, the two archrivals Abahani, Mohammedan and one of the successful clubs Sheikh Jamal wanted Bangabandhu National Stadium as their home venues while Old Dhaka team Rahmatganj Muslim Friend Society and Gopibagh's Brothers Union want Bir Shrestha Shaheed Sepoy Mustafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur as their home venue.
Chittagong Abahani wants MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong, Saif Sporting Club and Arambagh Krira Sangha want Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh, Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra and Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra want Gopalganj Stadium, Nofel Sporting Club wants Noakhali Stadium, Team BJMC chooses Rajshahi and newbie team Bashundhara Kings wish to make Nilphamari their home venue.
However, the committee also extended the player transfer and registration window for the season 2018-19 that opened from July 25. The new last date is
October 15.
