Rajshahi road crash: Accused bus driver held

Police have arrested the driver of a bus that met an accident at Naodapara Bazar in Rajshahi city on Wednesday, leaving three killed.

Accused driver Jony, 36, son of Nurul Islam, was nabbed from his house at Faradpur village in Godagari upazila on Wednesday night, said Shahmukdum Police Station OC Zillur Rahman.

The OC said that Jony fled the scene after the accident.

A case has been filed against him.

Three people, including a school girl, were killed and five others were injured when a bus hit a motorcycle and ploughed through a shop at about 11am on Wednesday.
