4 Cox's Bazar 'missing' boys rescued from Rangamati

Four students of Cox's Bazar Govt High School, presumed  missing since Sunday, were rescued from a hotel in Rangamati on Monday.

They are: Syed Nakib of class VII, and HA Galib Uddin, Shahriar Kamal Shakib and Safin Nur of class VIII of the school.

Earlier, local people told media that five boys, including the four, went out of their homes for school, but did not return home.

The missing news became the talk of the town.

As the news spread, police started searching. Later, the law enforcers rescued the boys from Raju Hotel at Reserve Bazar in Rangamati district town on Monday afternoon.

During questioning, the boys told police and media that their visit to Rangamati was pre-planned.

They also said that nobody took them to Rangamati from Cox's Bazar.

Rangamati Kotwali police OC Satyajit Barua said ASI M Shahjalal rescued the four students from room No 402 of the hotel.

They are said to be in good health.
