A man was killed allegedly by his elder brother over extra-marital affairs in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar district early Sunday.
Deceased Mohammad Ismail, 28, was the son of late Nazir Hossain, a resident of Jahalia Para in the upazila, said Teknaf Police Station officer in-charge Ranjit Kumar.
Police could not arrest accused Farid Ahmed, an expatriate in Saudi Arabia, as he went into hiding the killing.
Quoting locals, the OC said Ismail's developed an illegitimate relationship with Farid's wife.
After returning home, Farid came to know the matter that led
him to commit the murder, he added.
Police, however, recovered the body.
