Child killed in road crash

A child was killed in a road accident in Gangni upazila of Meherpur district on Sunday noon.

Deceased Rumi Khatun, 3, was the daughter of Faisal Hossain, a resident in the upazila.

A speeding truck hit a battery-run easy bike in Terail Bilpar area at noon, leaving the latter's passenger Rumi dead on the spot and his sister Sumi injured, said police quoting witnesses.

Officer-in-Charge of Gangni police station Harendranath Sarker confirmed the accident.
