A waz and milad mahfil was held at the residence of Dewan Aftabul Alam, son of former Pakistan parliament member late Dewan Abul Abbas, one of the members of Bangladesh constitution formulation committee, at Wari in Dhaka on Wednesday marking Eid-e-Miladunnabi (sm).
Imam and Khatib of Mia Saheb Maidan Shah Saheb Bari jame mosque, mawlana Javed Umar al Qadri delivered religious sermon, Dr Mohammad Ishtiaq Sajjadur Rahman recited from the holy Quran while hafez Faruk, hafez Rahmatullah and Syed Barkat sahib conducted the milad mahfil.
Ninth Goddinashin Peer Hazrat Shah Sufi Syed Ahamadur Rahim (Damat Barakatuhum), who is also the Mutawalli of Alhaz Hazrat Shah Sufi Syed Abu Yousuf Abdullah (RA) Waqf Estate and director of Mia Saheb's Maidan Shah Saheb's Bari Jame Masjid was the chief guest of the mahfil and conduct akheri munazat.
Bangladesh Awami League’s legal affairs secretary Abu Shahid Sagar, Oriental Group MD Obaidul Karim Bulbul, and DSCC Ward-41 councilor Mohammad Sarwar Hossain were present among others on the occasion.
Ninth Goddinashin Peer Hazrat Shah Sufi Syed Ahamadur Rahim (Damat Barakatuhum) displayed three pieces of beard of Muhammadur Rasulullah (sm) at the end of the programme.
Freedom Fighter Late Dewan Abul Abbas was president of Dhaka Bar Council and chairman of Bangladesh Bar Council Tribunal-2, parliament member from Nabinagar-Banchharampur constituency and opposition deputy leader of Pakistan parliament (1962).
