Nayeem's majestic Test anoint

New rookie Nayeem Hasan made an unforgettable international appearance recording the youngest five-for holder on Friday in the first Test against West Indies at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram.
Nayeem, the young hero of 17 years and 356 days old, picked up his maiden fifer in the maiden international cricket match snatching the record from Australian pacer Pat Cummins. The Aussie speed star got his maiden five-wicket haul at the age of 18 years and 193 days.
The 93rd Test cap for Tigers, broke the record of Enamul Haque jnr as the youngest bowler of Bangladesh to have five dismissal in the debut-match, who did that at his 18 years and 40 days age. Thus, he also crossed his teammate Mehidy Miraz, who got the momentum when he was 18 years and 361 days of age.
Nayeem is the eighth Bangladesh player to get five wickets in debut. Naimur Rahman was the first Tigers to have the honour to haul five wickets in debut followed by Manjural Islam, Mahmudullah Riyad, Elias Sunny, Sohag Gazi, Taijul Islam and Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
The right-arm off-break bowler delivered 14 overs only with two maidens to claim five Caribbean batsmen giving 61 runs away. His penta aided Bangladesh to tie the visitors for 246 runs.
The local boy of Chattogram had also shine with the bat in the first innings. He added valuable 24 runs batting at number nine and stood 65 runs' 10th wicket stand accompanying Taijul Islam. The knock was very crucial for Bangladesh to get a crystal 324 runs total in their first innings.
The teenage cricket star also vended for the sixth Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), which will be staged from January 5 to February 8. He will represent Chittagong Vikings outfit in the luxurious franchise tournament.
