Smiles of green leaves

To see the light of the world, all living being has to go through a known process that we call it a process of taking birth through parentage.
A vibrant young lady with a given name Rushmila, sounding and smelling Russian flavour in it, was not an exception and born of parents coming from a upper-middle-class family with modestly inheriting a cultural background having wide social connections. Born heavenly blessed, she grew up with the pace and rythm of nature and with unmitigated love and affection of her parents and dadi (grandmother) ....a gracious octogenarian lady with still reflecting all signs of nobility in her trait. With all possible sophistication in leading a life in grace, her dadi gradually instilled in Rushmila's behaviour pattern all the gracious and quintessential elements to become a good human being with a modestly sophisticated trait. Rushmila's days, in her childhood, passed in mirth and merriment under the blessed shadow and protection of her parents and dadi.

Unlike other children of her childhood days she quietly developed a habit of reading books in addition to her routine school curriculum and with giving deep insight into the process of learning through reading books, she gradually knew Tagore Nazrul, Sharat chandra Jashimuddin, Shakespeare, Byron, Keats, Shelly, Wordsworth and other literary giants who enlightened the world with their literary grandeur for ages. Having read almost all novels and story of Sharat Chandra, she became an avid admirer of Sharat Babu who, through his literary works, painted vivid pictures of how life of middle-class and lower-middle-class people moves in a given society particularly giving emphasize on the life of woman-folks that are socially looked down and easily fallen victim of disparity with social inequality and injustice.
Rushmila could fathom the depth of pain that a deprived and socially oppressed woman suffer in the society and all that she learned through an enduring learning process that silently she got it by her heart in her day to day life. With remaining attached in close proximity with her dadi in her childhood days, she has silently learned from the good demeanour and behaviour pattern of her dadi who reared up her (dadi's) children and grandchildren with affection and warmth, the way a mother hen covers and protects her chicks under soft feather, from all external aggression and danger. Further, she saw in her dadi her (dadi's) worries and concern, for all the members of the family towards knitting the fabrics of heavenly family bonding demonstrating adequate veneration and respects for the elders and myriad love and affection for the youngsters in the family.

As time passed like waltzing waves blended with rippling sound of running river, Rushmila's childhood days passed and silently she stepped into the phase of her youth in one unnoticed moment of her life. By the order of nature she came of her age and her body chemistry changed gradually with that inner transformation in body and mind and she felt the natural instinct and necessity of having a life partner who would drench her with heavenly shower of love that she was yet to come across in her life to relish its beauty and taste.

A pretty and tall with a pair of revealing eyes blended in a forest of flowing hair in her physical stature with ever playing smiles in her lips, Rushmila had no difficulty in fetching a life partner of her choice, but she waited with her enduring perseverance and desires tamed adequately until she met her man of choice Kaisan, an equally handsome and dashing young man. She did not let her un-wed-locked romance continue and linger without social bonding and decided to see its happy ending in marriage with following all essential social and religious rituals. Accordingly her marriage ceremony with her man of love held with gaiety and bonhomie. Her conjugal life with her husband Kaisan began in all charms and splendors ever since she wore her dazzling sartorial of a bride on the wedding day.

Her days in conjugal life were passing gleefully with casual in-house internecine garrulous exchange of sweet & sour words and brawls with her husband Kaisan who sometime turns up with casual muscular (!) frenzy of typical behaviour pattern. In spite of that casual in-house pungent hue & cry, without which nectar of conjugal life tastes insipid, Rushmila never complained and instantly retorts if someone from family speaks unkind words ever of her husband. Her unalloyed romance and love for her husband is inexhaustible. She cooks food to her husband's gastronomic choice and serves with utmost care. Her world with her husband is hung and tightly fastened with the fabric that refuses to lose its grip.

Days passed with her longing to have a child nothing less than a male child. She was counting days to give birth to a child of male gender of her long cherished desire. At last the golden moment came. She gave birth to a female child. She gave her heavenly smiles with long sigh of complacence by seeing the rosy face of her newly born baby. Longing for a male child so long nourished in her thoughts and imaginations instantly waned.

She was totally immersed in the sea of heavenly love and affection and dedicated herself to rear up her daughter with unalloyed care, love and compassion. Her world now swings happily with rocking her daughter in her lap and basking with the warmth of her bosom. As the baby is little grown up, Rushmila now takes her toddler daughter Areesha every morning to a nearby nursery school with unmitigated care and brings her back with showering unending love cascading down her heart and soul. In her thoughts and imagination, nothing now exist other than her daughter Areesha--- a pupil of her eyes and most precious gift of Allah. Her happy life with her husband Kaisan with a most affectionate bridge --- Areesha in between is telling and captivating.

Rushmila --- a girl born of her parents a couple of decades ago cuddling on her parents and dadi's (grandmother) shoulders turns now a mother herself and cuddles her own baby to tell the world of how love and affection travels from one stage to another at the passage of time with the symphony of life like smiles of green leaves that sprout in the season of spring and swing with rhythm of blowing wind to enchant human minds beyond measures.
