Shakib writes golden record

Bangladesh Test and T20i skipper Shakib Al Hasan has made the rare some record of reaching 200 wickets and 3,000 runs in Test cricket playing the least number of matches on Saturday against Windies at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
Shakib, 31, is considered as one of the greatest all-rounders in the cricket history, took 54 matches to soar the height of great honour. He broke the record of English great Sir Ian Botham. Botham played 55 matches to register the record to his name.
Among other cricket greats, former India skipper Kapil Dev needed 73 while former Pakistan captain and current Prime Minister Imran Khan played 75 matches to reach the landmark.
Shakib got Windian opener Kieran Powell as his 200th prey in the first ball of his second over in the fourth innings of the game. Powell was fool to dancing down the wicket against length-ball of clever Shakib that skip Powell's bat to reach Mushfiqur Rahim's gloves for stumping.
The southpaw genius, the number one Test all-rounder in the ICC players ranking, started ongoing Test against Windies remaining four short of 200, who claimed three on Friday conceding 43 runs and reached 199. With total five wickets in this Test, the total number of Shakib's wickets rose at 201. Shakib accumulated 3,727 Test runs including the latest innings collection.
Besides this record, Shakib became the third player in the cricket history to claim 500 wickets and 10,000 runs after former South Africa all-rounder Jacques Kallis and ex-skipper of Pakistan Shahid Afridi. Shakib was the fastest among them as well, who took 302 matches to reach the landmark while Kallis and Afridi played 420 and 477 matches respectively.
