53 candidates submit nomination in Rajshahi

At least 53 aspirants submitted their nomination papers in Rajshahi on Wednesday,, the last date of nomination submission.

Among the candidates, seven from Awami League and 17 from BNP.

Of them, 12 candidates submitted nomination for Rajshahi-1, eight for Rajshahi-2, 10 for Rajshahi-3, 5 for Rajshahi-4, 11 for Rajshahi- 5 and seven for Rajshahi-6.

Executive magistrate Mamnun Ahmed Anik said deputy Commissioner will act as the returning officer while upazila nirbahi officers (UNO) as assistant returning officer in the upcoming elections.
