Tamim enters 12k club

Dashing opener of Bangladesh Tamim Iqbal became the first batsman of the country to reach the elite club of 12,000-run getters in the international cricket on Tuesday during the second bilateral ODI of the three-match series between Bangladesh and Windies at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka.
Tamim, 30, was in need of 47 runs to reach the grand milestone, had cut through the point to the short length ball of Windian leggy Devendra Bishoo which was the fourth delivery of 22nd over. The shot brought couple for Tamim to add another feather on his crown.  
The southpaw opener appeared in the 313th international match including 185 ODIs. He banked 11,953 runs from previous 312 competitions. With his yesterday's (Tuesday) 43rd ODI half century of sharp 50, Tamim has now total capital of 12,003 runs.
Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim are the next two leading Bangladesh scorer having more than ten thousand runs by means of 10,752 and 10,457 runs next to the respective names.
Tamim is the leading Tigers scorer in all three formats with having 6369 ODI runs, 4049 Test collections and 1585 T20i accumulation.
