In
the training workshop titled "Digital Election Campaign" hosted by the
Sub-Committee of Science and Technology of Awami League, a mobile app
titled 'Joy Bangla' was displayed. Everyone present at the event was
given guidance on how to use the app. This app can be used by all the
leaders and activists of all the units of Bangladesh Awami League's
affiliate organization via registration. This app can be used to prevent
the spreading of rumors as well as spread knowledge regarding the
development activities of Awami League. All information about the app
users will be protected under high security. Initially, onecrore people
have been estimated to join the app.
In the training workshop, a
detailed explanation of the use of the app was given by IEB's Chairman
of Computer Engineering Division and Vice-Chancellor of Canadian
University of Bangladesh, Professor Dr. Mahfuzul Islam. The technical
aspects and management behind the creation of the app was done by
Engineer Abu Hassan Masud.
Present as the Chief Guest of the
event was Mustafa Jabbar, the Chairman of the Information &
Technology Affairs Committee of the National Election Management
Committee of Bangladesh Awami League for the upcoming 2018 elections.

The program was
conducted by Engineer Tanvir Arafat. The workshop was organized under
the supervision of the General Secretary of the Computer Engineering
Division of IEB, Engineer Md. Ronok Ahsan.
