Mobile banking restricted ahead of election

Bangladesh Bank has suspended mobile phone-based financial services ahead of the 11th national election slated for Dec 30 in line with the Election Commission's instruction.
As per directives of the Election Commission to shut all kinds of mobile banking services BB issued a circular on Thursday.
All mobile financial service providers have been asked to keep mobile-based financial services suspended from 5:00pm of December 28 to 5:00pm of December 30, the central bank said in a circular on Thursday.
