Psychodrama could protect youth from risky sexual behavior

Brac James P Grant School of Public Health of Brac University conducted a project on psychodrama system for youth. The study suggested that the youths living in slum area are very vulnerable community as they practice risky sexual behavior on social media.
Former Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor was present as chief guest at the meeting at Brac in the capital on Monday.
Directorate of Health Services Additional Director General Prof Nasima Sultana attended special guest while Public Health Research Director Prof Malabika Sarker presided over the meeting.
The study also found risky sexual behavior among youths of age level 18-29 during conducting project assessment.
Organizers also introduced an application where youths can learn about sexual and reproductive health issues using mobile phone.
Officials informed there were conducting several meeting with youths living in slum area for improving their behavior through psychodrama.
Netherlands-based Rotterdam Global Health Initiative of Erasmus University, Kikid, National Mental Health Institute and Bandhu Welfare Society, are partners of the project supported by NOW-WOTRO Science for Global Development programme.
