Rohingya man 'strangles wife'

A Rohingya man allegedly strangled his wife at Ukhiya camp in Cox's Bazar on Tuesday morning.

Deceased Ayesha Begum,19, was the wife of Zahid Hossain, a resident of E block of Balaukhali camp.

Camp residents said Zahid had an altercation with Ayesha in the morning. At one stage, he stragled Ayesha, leaving her unconscious.

Ayesha was rushed to a local hospital where she was declared dead.

Zahid went into hiding after the incident.
