Actress Shomi Kaiser confined journalists covering her programme nearly half-an-hour after she lost two mobile phone sets.
Kaiser,
also the president of e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh, addressed a
programme at Johur Hossain Chowdhury auditorium at National Press Club
in the morning.
After
finishing her speech, the celebrated actress informed the organisers
that she had lost her two smart mobile phone sets, said witnesses.
Following
her complain, the main entrance of the auditorium was locked and the
security personnel of the actress started checking the journalists taking their permission.
When
some journalists wanted to get out of the hall after checking, the
security personnel of Kaiser termed them thieves. At one stage, the
programme organisers and journalists locked into an altercation.
A video footage, later, showed that a worker involved in stage decoration took away the mobile phone sets.
Later, Kaiser expressed sorrow over the matter and termed it 'misunderstanding' and unintentional.
