FBCCI wants amendment to budgetary tax proposals

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) demanded necessary amendment to value added tax (VAT), income tax and import duty proposed in the National Budget for the fiscal year 2019-2020.

The demands were raised at a post-budget meeting titled 'Proposed National Budget and the Finance Bill' organized by FBCCI at a City Hotel on Thursday .

The representatives of different Chambers and Associations of FBCCI raised their points of their respective sectors the meeting.

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi was present as the chief guest at the event chaired by FBCCI President Sheikh Fazle Fahim. SDG Affairs Coordinator Abul Kalam Azad attended as Guest of Honor. Former FBCCI President Md Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin was present.

FBCCI Senior Vice President Md. Muntakim Ashraf and Vice Presidents Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Rejaul Kariem Rejnu, Mir Nizamuddin and FBCCI Directors were present at the event.
