New Zealand end their innings at 241/8 in 50 overs first against England at the Lord’s on Sunday.

Chris Woakes and Liam Plunkett scalped three wickets each for England while Henry Nicholls top-scored with 55. Tom Latham chipped in with a handy 47 as Kiwis reached this sub-par score.

Earlier, New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat first against England.
Eoin Morgan's side were fuelled by three wickets each from Liam Plunkett and Chris Woakes on a green-tinged pitch in cloudy conditions that aided the pace bowlers at Lord's.

NDTV adds: New Zealand captain Kane Williamson had elected to bat first, but his gamble backfired, with only Henry Nicholls (55) reaching a half-century for the 2015 World Cup runners-up in their 50 overs. Before this match, Williamson had scored nearly 30 percent of his side's runs at this tournament -- 548 at a huge average of 91.33.

But after helping the Black Caps recover from the early loss of Martin Guptill, star batsman Williamson fell for just 30 when he was caught behind off fast bowler Liam Plunkett.

At the 25-over halfway point of their innings, New Zealand were 109 for two in a match where both sides were looking to win the World Cup for the first time.

Henry Nicholls was 49 not out, the left-handed opener's highest score of the tournament, with Ross Taylor three not out.

Williamson, just as he had done in his side's shock semi-final victory over India, batted first after winning the toss in overcast conditions.
