The 'Evergreen Amazon', known as lung of the world, has been terribly burned in the last decade. In this decade, fire is appeared in the Amazon for the record times. At last, after a continuous burning for one week, it has become international headline when the news comes out in public.BBC report says that fires outbreaks in Amazon for almost 75 thousand times in this year. It outstrips all the previous records. How much terrible this report is!
According to Wikipedia, a scientist of USA concerned that within next 50 years Amazon Forest will be dissappeard. Is it a primary specimen of his warning?
In the meantime, scientists have said, the fire of the amazon is a frightful signal. There is no way to avoid this warning. The importance of the Amazon is not needed to be discussed.
Amazon forest is the only rainforest in the world. It is surrounded by almost 7 million square kilometers. Amazon provides almost 20% of the total oxygen-demand of the earth. If the forest is burned in such a way, the climate of the earth will be in doubt.
The world is mostly related with the existence of the Amazon. If Amazon becomes desert in this way, a huge amount of the living beings will be lost. There are almost 10 million species of animals in this forest. These include 40 thousand kinds of trees, 1.3 thousand kinds of birds, 3 thousand kinds of fishes and 4.5 million of various kinds of insects.
Amazon is one of the most natural wonders of the world. The amazon river is the origin of several rivers of the world. From the Amazon River, so much sweet tasted water goes into the sea that is mixed with 100 miles salty water of the sea.
Such inevitable part of the world, Amazon is tremendously burned for myriad times. The face of recent fire burning is totally unimaginable. The Sao Paolo city of Brazil which is about 3000 miles away from Amazon is covered with dark smoke as night comes down at the day to the city. Can you imagine the intensity of this fiery furnace?
A large amount of carbon dioxide is being released into the atmosphere due to smoke. The rate of carbon dioxide emissions is highest in last 10 years. Not only is carbon dioxide, poisonous carbon monoxide gas also released into the air due to the indiscriminate burning of large trees. CAMS observations showed that the poisonous gas was passing through the south american coast and into the air. Moreover, countless animals, birds and insects are died from the fire.
So, it is time to rise voices against this heinous act. We have to save this evergreen part of the world for our own benefits. The president of Brazil is fully indifferent to take this matter into account. The leaders of the world have to come forward in corroborating against this outrageous situation.
What is the main reason behind these fires should be investigated. In the meanwhile, environmentalists stated that the cause is nothing else but the illegal searching for gold mining in the Amazon. A report shows that there were 2,212 illegal mines in 25 areas of amazon in nine countries.
It is right time for the world leaders to take a proper step saving the Amazon. Since, it is the world largest green forest where a good ecosystem is prevailing, our current and next generation can get a better opportunity for having a good research on the ecosystem. If it damages steadily, we can lose most unrecoverable important things ever.
