4 held with Phensedyl

Police detained four drug traders along with Phensedyl syrup in Gangni upazila of Meherpur early Friday.

The detainees are Rajiv Sardar, Tipu, Swapan, and Abed.
On information that a truck along with a consignment of drugs is coming from the border area, police set up a check post in Akubpur area to search the vehicles, said Obaidur Rahman, officer in-charge of Gangni Police Station.

At one stage of searching, police recovered  460 bottles of contraband Phensedyl syrup from the truck and detained the four men.

A case was filed against them with the police station under the Narcotics Control Act, the OC added.
