With creeping fear I recall The dead of nights; In eloquent silence Of bygone days.
With darkness thickening on earth Genies and Fairies would descent from Skies; To Conquer the earth To their cherubic celebration and glee.
Humans would lend their ears In wintry nights in fears; To cries of baby vultures & owls Remained afloat in the air; Imagining the sounds As macabre cries of those Genies and fairies; In cross-country flight.
Chirps of crickets emanating in wintry nights Two steps from home in bushy shades; Would loud the silence of nights louder And condensed the darkness with sneaking fear.
Genies and Fairies would hover across the skies With sharp vision and magical speed; To abduct pretty damsels in flowing hair; Who would step out of home on spell-bound At the wee hour of nights; Till such time dawn breaks in glows With warding-off nocturnal darkness.
Necromancers with wand of wizardry Would cast spells and call abductor Genie; To return the abductees alive on bargain.
After days of necromantic feat & séance At last Genies would return abductees; Hung by flowing hair dead or alive On towering tree tops; At the thick of night.
With darkness replaced by lights Genies are now gone: But a new version of alien abductors With blinking green lights On board a Flying Saucer from distant skies; Visit earth and abduct humans For their lab experiment As the UFO enthusiasts blissfully reason.
Genie or Alien abduction at the thick of night Equally haunts fearful mind Consigned in the recesses of uncanny thoughts For ages after ages to come.
