CHATTOGRAM, July 08: The coronavirus (Covid-19) has changed the look of the country's second-largest sea beach Parki. Outbreaks of coronavirus have disrupted the normal life of people in tourist areas. Due to the strictures of the administration, the presence of locals on the beach is also decreased.
Parki beach traders say about 2,000 people are out of work due to the closure of tourist-oriented businesses.
Although people who depend on tourism for their livelihood, including tourism-oriented businessmen, have demanded the lifting of the ban on tourism, the conscious community is demanding that the right decision be taken keeping in mind the Corona epidemic.
However, everyone wants the Parki beach to come back to life again. MA Qayyum Shah, a member of the Parky Beach Management Committee and local UP chairman, said the government should open up the tourist area, though to a limited extent.
Regarding Parki beach, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sheikh Jobayer Ahmed said, it is not being decided to open the beach area soon as the risk of corona infestation is increasing day by day.
