Justice Gholam Rabbani is no more

Former justice Gholam Rabbani has passed away.

He was 85.

Justice Gholam Rabbani breathed his last at his residence in Dhaka’s Gulshan at about 12.45pm on Monday, said Supreme Court’s registrar Mohammad Saifur Rahman.

He was suffering from old age complications.

Gholam Rabbani left behind his wife, a son and a host of admirers to mourn his death.

Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique expressed deep shock at Rabbani's death and prayed for eternal peace for his departed soul and expressed sympathy for his bereaved family.

Gholam Rabbani was appointed as High Court judge on February 18 in 1992, elevated as a judge of the Appellate Division on January 11, 2001, and retired on January 10, 2002.
