Faculty of Rajshahi University (RU) awarded 'Dean's Honours List Award' to 30 students as recognition of their significant achievement in their respective academic fields.
The university authorities arranged an award-giving ceremony at Senate Bhaban on the campus at 10.00am on Monday.
Professor Golam Sabbir Sattar, vice-chancellor (VC) of RU, addressed the event as the chief guest, while pro vice chancellors Professor
Sultan-Ul-Islam, Professor Humayun Kabir; and treasurer Professor
Obayedur Rahman Pramanik spoke as the special guests with Business Studies
Faculty Dean Professor Faridul Islam in the chair.
Students who secured a minimum CGPA of 3.85 in MBA examinations from 2017 to 2019 received the awards. Awardees were given a crest, certificate and Tk 5,000 each.
Congratulating the awardees, the vice-chancellor said this recognition of meritorious students will motivate them in the future.
He expressed hope that the awardees will contribute to the overall prosperity and welfare of the country.
Finance Department chairman Zahid Hossain gave the welcome speech.
Of the awardees, Rabiul Awal and Nazmun Nahar expressed their feelings.
