A man, who was injured in a clash with his younger brother and nephew on Monday, dies at Gopalganj Sadar Hospital on Friday morning.
Deceased Saidur Rahman Siddique, 65, was resident of Kalsi Fukra village under Kashiani upazila in Gopalganj district.
According to locals and family members, Anis Siddique and Mafiz Siddique, the deceased’s nephews, locked into a fight with Siddique over a dispute land. At one stage of the fight they hit Siddique with iron rod, leaving him critically injured.
Later, family members rescued him and took to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
Additional Superintendent of Kashiani and Muksudpur circle police Md Kamruzzaman confirmed the matter.
A case was filed against them and legal steps would be taken in this regard, the official added.
