Anecdotes

No more wings of wishes...

Published : Saturday, 29 October, 2016 at 12:00 AM  Count : 275
Since April 30, 2016, post-evening, it started. I am glad to see yellow-yellow my fellow, surrounded by moon-lit-night, on the roof, hymning "Tumse milkey aysa laga tumse milke / arma huye purey dilke..." (Meeting you, I felt, no more wings of wishes I need...)
This city has given me a lot of trashes to scribble. Its traffic made me read e-books. Its creepy-non-creepy people somehow became my focus to study. Admonishment or admiration, I gladly received both from here. I somehow fell in love with this grey-life. Then I met her. And I knew myself; I touched myself, I touched poetry!
Before April, I had desires. I still have. But, no more for myself; for all those eyes, which stare with hope and belief. I, somehow, metamorphosed from May 1.
She is an artiste. To me, more than that. We both appreciate this young champ Sadik Haque. His surreal illusions on canvas work like weed: make me 'high'.
Art, for a cause: I prefer; and my tons of kids as well, I believe. What makes me smile is: when art is --- anti-prejudice, to unchain, and for proletariats.
I somehow relate art with poetry and I don't find words to define. There I yield to 'Ars Poetica' by ARCHIBALD MACLEISH:
A poem should be wordless   / As the flight of birds. / A poem should be motionless in time / As the moon climbs, / Leaving, as the moon releases / Twig by twig the night-entangled trees, / Leaving, as the moon behind the winter leaves, / Memory by memory the mind / A poem should be motionless in time  / As the moon climbs. / A poem should be equal to: / Not true..../ .... A poem should not mean / But be.
