Two crushed under train in Joypurhat

Two persons were crushed under the wheels of the same train at separate places in two upazilas of Joypurhat district on Thursday morning.

According to police, a man died after being crushed by Rajshahi-bound Barendra Express train in  Bagzana area under Panchbibi upazila around 9 am.

The identity of the deceased was not known immediately.

Meanwhile, a woman killed after being run over by the same train in front of Teghar High School in Joypurhat town around 9:30 am.

Deceased Durga Rani was a resident of Chitrapara area of the town.

Santahar Railway Police Station officer-in-charge Muktar Hossain said on information, police recovered the bodies from the spots and sent those to hospital morgue for autopsy.
