Munshiganj Traffic Inspector Bazlur Rahman said seven bikers violated the rules by changing from the designated lanes for motorcycles and entering the main lanes.

They were stopped at the Jazira end and fined a total of Tk  21,000, with each being fined Tk 3,000, he added.

Meanwhile, motorcycles have started plying the Padma Bridge from 6 am Thursday ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr as the government permitted bikes temporarily on six conditions after about nine and a half months.
