Bullet-hit body found near C'nawabganj border

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has recovered the bullet-hit body of a man from a paddy field near the border with India in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj early Sunday.

The deceased Sadikur Rahman, 35, was a cattle trader in Uparchakpara village of the upazila.

BGB-59 Battalion commander Lt Col Golam Kibria said no BSF firing was heard in the border area.  The this place was faw away from the BSF firing range . He said Sadikur might have been killed afetr being shot during a clash among the smugglers. The body was handed over to police on Sunday morning. 

Shibganj Police Station OC Chowdhury Zobayer Ahmed said the reason behind the killing would be revealed after investigation. The body was sent to a hospital for autopsy on Sunday morning.
