Tourist found dead at Kuakata hotel

The man was identified as Ripon Bishwas, 29, son of Madhab Bishwas. He was ready-made garment workers in Ashulia of Dhaka.

Tourist police of Kuakata zone Inspector Hasnain Parvez said Ripon rented room no. 105 of Hotel Sonar Bangla near Kuakata Sea Beach in Potuakhali three days ago (April 20).

He said being informed police reached the hotel and found the body in that room. He said they have detained Nupur, the 2nd wife of Ripon with whom he was staying at the hotel, for questioning.

He further said investigations are underway to find out more about the incident.

Meanwhile, Nupur told the police that Ripond had a altercation with his 1st wife and his family members on Saturday night. When Nupur wake up in the morning she found Ripon hanging wife her scarf from window grill of the room. Afetr hearing the scream, staff of the hotel and other came to the room.
