Two killed in Netrokona road crash

The deceased were --Ramesh Sarkar of Sadar upazila, and Aradhan Das of Manas village in Barhatta upazila.

The injured were--- identified as Jasmine and Mukta of Thakurakona village.

Netrokona Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Lutfur Haque the accident took place in that area around 9.30am when carrying fish pick-up van collided head -on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw, leaving one person died on the spot and three others injured The injured were taken to a hospital where doctors declared one dead.

Police arrested the pick-up van driver but the three-wheeler driver was on the run, he added. Legal action is under process in this regard, said the OC.
