Thirty shanties gutted in Ctg slum fire

Deputy Assistant Director of Chattogram region Fire Service, Md. Abdullah said after receiving information about the fire in Tulatali slum around 10.30am seven units of firefighters of Lamar Bazar and Nandankanan stations reached the spot and with help of locals brought the fire under control after an hour of frantic efforts.The extent of the damage and the cause of the fire couldn’t be known immediately, the officials said.
