SSC examinee 'commits suicide' in Jamalpur

A SSC examinee allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself with the scarf from the ceiling fan at her room at Shreepur Kumaria village of Jamalpur sadar upazila on Monday morning as her exam was not good.

The deceased was Bushra Barkattullah, daughter of school teacher Barkatullah, had appeared at the SSC examination from Battala High School on Sunday.

Father of the deceased said Bushra was disappointed after Bangla part-1 exam on Sunday. He said family members found Bushra hanging from the ceiling on Monday morning.

Officer-in-charge of Jamalpur Sadar Police Station Kazi Shahnewaz said an unnatural death case has been filed with the police station. The body was handed over to the family without autopsy upon their request.
