Two held with 40-kg hemp in Badda

The Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 40kgs of hemp from Badda area of the capital on Sunday night.

The arrestees are--Md Sohag Ali and Azadul Islam. Police also seized a private car used in drug peddling.

Assistant Commissioner (AC) of Gulshan Intelligence Division, Bernard Eric Biswas on Monday said acting on a tip-off detectives of Dhaka Metropolitan Police conducted drive in front of the Progoti Sarani M/S Meghna Senetaries and arrested the duo with the drug.

A case was filed with Badda Police Station against them under narcotics Control Act, he added
